Deb Black of Dark Star Fabrics created and quilted Barred Owl in Moonlight from her original design using 12 fabrics from Northcott’s Stardust line by Banyan Batiks.

On May 24, 2021, Deb’s art quilt received top prize in the 2021 Maine Quilt Shop Hop challenge. Our friends at Fabricate in Bar Harbor, Maine, called the 1st place award “massively deserved” and said on Facebook, “I knew from the minute I saw the quilt image online that this one was a stunner.”
