April is Maine Quilt Shop Hop month. At Dark Star Fabrics, you will find beautiful fabrics and popular favorites, including our $7/yard fabric bargains.

Each week in April, two randomly-chosen Shop Hoppers who come to Dark Star Fabrics will each win a special prize.

The Dark Star Fabrics retail store is easy to find at 30 Main Street, Phillips, Maine.

About the Shop Hop

Dark Star Fabrics is among 25 independent fabric shops welcoming you to the 26th annual Maine Quilt Shop Hop.

The Shop Hop provides a great opportunity for quilters and fabric lovers to travel from shop to shop before the tourists arrive. Each shop offers something different.

When you visit five or more shops, you are eligible for state-wide prizes and you can vote for your favorite Shop Challenge Quilt. Visit all 25 shops for a special gift.

Maine Designer Ericka O’Rourke designed this year’s exclusive Shop Hop fabrics, Maine’s Small Wonders. Produced by Northcott Fabrics, these custom fabrics will be available only at Maine Quilt Shop Hop shops. Forest Floor (pictured above) is one of our favorites.

You can download and print the Shop Hop Brochure (pdf) with details about participating shops.

You can also download and print your Shop Hop Passport (pdf). Have your passport stamped at each shop you visit. Then mail your completed passport to the address listed on the passport by May 15, 2026.
