Example for Simplified Stained Glass Class

Simple Technique, Big Impact

CLASS IS COMPLETED

This two day class in the Dark Star Fabrics classroom will get you started on a simple technique with a big impact. Using a stack of fat quarters and a single strongly contrasting sashing fabric, you can make a wall-hanging size piece or begin a larger quilt.

Let Janice White guide you through the process of stacking and cutting to make this easy abstract project. This is an excellent class for very-beginners because there is no matching of seams or stressing about color placement. Using only the most basic tools (rotary cutter and ruler), you will slice and piece a dramatic hanging that shows off colorful fabrics. It’s an ideal use for bold colors or large prints.

Note: For best results, plan on using a variety of same-size fat quarter or half yard cuts. The simplified stained glass technique is not suited to small scraps or running fat quarters.
