“Applique” with Crayons?
Are you intimidated by appliqué? Try mock appliqué.
Leave your serious work behind and join a fun quilting class. Learn an easy technique with a small group of quilters.
This carefree project will tap into your inner child and is adaptable to any appliqué (or coloring book) design.
Skill Level
Beginners and Up. The class is designed for all quilters from beginners through experts.

Carol Boynton, the scheduled instructor, is unavailable. The class will be led by Deb Black and Rachelle Knight, the owners of Dark Star Fabrics.
When and Where (Updated)
The class will take place from 6:00 until 8:00 on Wednesday evening, July 18th, 2018, in the classroom at Dark Star Fabrics, 30 Main Street, Phillips, Maine.
What to Bring (Updated)
Please bring to the class:
- An iron
- Light-colored fabric, such as a fat quarter, for your center square*
- A traceable pattern if you have one you like (or use one of ours)
- A pencil or fine-tipped Sharpie pen
We will have crayons for you (just like kindergarten).
* Use your own fabric or shop our store. Dark Star Fabrics will give you a 20% discount on any fabric you buy for the class.
