Learn How to Make a Bargello Table Runner
Join Alice Yates for this three-session hands-on class at Dark Star Fabrics. Have fun learning key concepts of the Bargello technique as you make a Bargello table runner.
You will receive personal instruction in a small friendly class limited to eight participants.
By the end of the class, you will be familiar with the Bargello quilting technique and you will have finished your Bargello table runner with strips from 10 different fabrics, ranging from light to dark.
When you sign up, we will welcome you with detailed information about the fabrics and tools you will need. Dark Star Fabrics will give you a 20% discount on all fabrics and tools you buy for the class.
While the Bargello technique seems complex, it is not hard to master. Alice likes to teach this technique because quilters often tell her, “It looked so difficult but it was easy and fun to see the quilt come together.”
Intermediate. The class is designed for quilters who are comfortable using a sewing machine and have at least some sewing/quilting experience. Quilters who would like to learn a new style of quilting, from novices to experts, will enjoy this class.
Alice Yates, a retired art teacher, has been quilting for more than 30 years. She is co-chair of Stitchers in the Snow in Kingfield. Alice enjoys helping people succeed as they try new techniques.
